So, you wanna know a little bit more about us, huh? We don’t blame you. We’re totally rockin’ that tall-dark-and-mysterious vibe.
But don’t worry; this isn’t one of those snooze-provoking ‘about’ pages that leaves you feeling like you’re on a long-haul flight to Boredom Ville. In fact, we’re going to keep this pretty short and sweet … unlike our balloons, which are crude, cheeky and long lasting.
Don’t give us that look. You love it.
So, here’s the deal:
You’re young (for reals and at heart) but there’s no escaping the fact that by now you’ve received so many fricken flowers, cards and boxes of chocolate that you probably even dread special occasions.
“Oh yay, flowers!” You faux cry.
Then the flowers die, you sigh, and your gift-giver has to eat humble pie.
We get it.
When our Fancy Schmancy founder, Kady, gave birth to her beautiful girl, Ace, she was inundated with stock-standard gifts that, although well-intentioned, left her thinking - there has to be a better way to show you love somebody and, you know, bring a little light-hearted fun into their day.
Enter Fancy Schmancy!
We deliver snort-and-giggle (okay, and maybe some laugh-fart) inducing boxed balloons to make your loved one’s day and give them a natural high. Our balloons are blown and stuffed with love – literally – at our headquarters in Brisbane and then delivered directly to the recipient’s door.
Pssst, if you’re one of Kady’s friends and you’re reading this … Come on in! A friend of Kady’s is a friend of ours. Oh, and no way, she totally didn’t mean your gift. She loved your gift. She told me so herself.
Why we donate $2 from every sale to PANDA
Nope, we don’t mean the fluffy black and white bears - although they are adorable! Instead we’re talking about the foundation, PANDA – Perinatal Anxiety & Depression Australia.
PANDA is an organisation that is very close to our hearts. After Kady gave birth to Ace, she was diagnosed with Post Natal Depression. To make her days lighter and more fun-filled, she began creating Fancy Schmancy Balloon Co. Creating and planning this biz made Kady laugh and feel good and helped her to not take everything so seriously.
Post Natal Depression can feel like a heavy, dark cloud and sometimes you just need that little something to lift you back up again. Which is why we are passionate about supporting an organisation whose purpose is to help women fight the battle against such a common form of depression.
